Former Tawag ng Tanghalan winner Janine Berdin has collaborated with The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) for its latest anthem ahead of its season 17 playoffs.
PUSH ABS-CBN was invited to the media conference and private listening party earlier this week where Janine; the Heads of Moonton Games Jane Dela Cruz and Lee Viloria; and UMG Managing Director Enzo Valdez, shared more details of the exciting collaboration between the two industries.
It was revealed that Janine had already done two demos within a day of the collaboration being announced. As an MLBB player herself, she expressed how excited she was as her two worlds– music and gaming– collide.
“Super excited ako to finally share this song with the community. As someone who genuinely plays MLBB, this project is very personal to me—it brings together two worlds I truly love: music and gaming. I poured my heart into this track, and I hope every player and fan can feel that energy and passion. Para sa lahat ng patuloy na lumalaban, whether in rank games or on the e-sports stage, this is for you—PALAG NA ‘TO,” she expressed.
The song that Janine created would resonate not only with the players of the MPL PH but also the fans as it both celebrates the spirit of competition and community –– something that she considered while she was creating the track.
As MPL PH enters its 17th season and MLBB celebrates its 10th year, Jane of Moonton Games expressed how this collaboration is much more meaningful for the community.
“This collaboration celebrates the journey of MPL Philippines and the community that has grown with it. We thank Janine Berdin, Island Records Philippines, and Universal Music Group Philippines for bringing fans together into the spotlight by connecting gaming, music, and youth culture,” Jane shared.
“With its own new soundtrack, MPL Philippines becomes more than an esports league. It now becomes a cultural experience brought to life by the entire MPL PH community across players, fans, and supporters,” she added.
“Palag Na ‘To” will be released on May 17 on all streaming platforms.
