EXCLUSIVE: JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith admit they’re both the jealous type: ‘Kung ‘di ka nagseselos parang may mali na do’n’

Fans and moviegoers gushed over the kilig and jealous scenes of JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith during the special screening of their first solo lead film, Almost Us, organized by JMFYANG Official.

But it turns out the jealousy may not be too far from reality, as the JMFYANG love team admitted that they are both the jealous type in real life during an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN.

“Ako! Honestly, ako (‘yung mas nagseselos). Actually parehas naman kami siguro mas ako. Pero seloso po siya,” Fyang admitted.

JM also shared that for him, feeling jealous is something natural when you genuinely care about someone. “Ako na lang (‘yung mas seloso). Parehas naman. Kasi kung ‘di ka nagseselos, parang may mali na dun ‘di ba?”

The two also got candid when asked how they make up after misunderstandings, with Fyang even showing how she becomes extra clingy and affectionate.

Meanwhile, JM jokingly said, “Hindi naman siya nanunuyo,” prompting Fyang to quickly react with a playful “Char, char!”

The two also reacted to the fan theories circulating online following their guesting on The B Side with Bianca Gonzalez, where they answered questions without revealing what they were actually about during the talk show’s “Blind Box” segment.

Fyang admitted that they were also surprised by the online reactions, saying, “Hindi namin alam. I swear, ngayon lang namin nalaman.”

Meanwhile, JM jokingly added, “Grabe yung mga tanong na ‘yun talaga. Hindi talaga siya dapat i-release.”

Amid the online buzz and growing support surrounding the pair, the two also expressed their gratitude after Almost Us reached a ₱5 million opening gross, thanking supporters who have already watched the film.

“Sobrang happy. Super grateful kami,” Fyang said.

JM added that they have deeply felt the support from fans ever since their Pinoy Big Brother journey up to now.

“Kung gaano nila kami sinusuportahan, simula lumabas kami ng PBB, walang pagbabago yan,” he shared.

Fyang shared that the film offers more than just kilig moments, as it also tackles other relatable experiences viewers can connect with. “Lahat naman aabangan sa pelikula muna, ‘yung lahat ng scene. Pero, feeling ko, makaka-relate din ‘yung mga nanay sa movie namin. Kasi mapapakita dun kung gaano intindihin ng nanay ‘yung anak nila.”
